What Does a School Counselor Do?
Professional School Counselors help with development in career, academic, and personal & social skills. These services are delivered through:
Guidance Curriculum:
• guides students in developing their full educational potential
•serves as a critical Tier I support for all students
•age-appropriate classroom presentations
•engage students with social skills and interactive lessons
• collaboration with teacher enrichment for integration in the classroom
Individual Student Planning:
• guides each student in planning, monitoring, and managing their educational, career, personal, and social development
• coordination of strategies, abilities, and interests to create unique path for the future
• implement systemic activities that guide students in creating future goals and plans
• collaboration for transitions
System Support:
