Statement of Team Goals and Objectives

The Tiger Team goal is to help all sixth grade students reach their full potential. This is a transition period in their lives, and we want to do everything we can to provide guidance and leadership so they may have success in life and at Sulphur Springs Middle School.

Special Announcements/Projects

During the fall semester we are engaged in various special events to include our campus Science Fair and the Veterans Vigil at Texas A&M University - Commerce. We strongly encourage participation in U.I.L. academic contests and the Accelerated Reader (AR) program. Students always enjoy the AR picnic that takes place at the end of each school year as a reward for those who have committed themselves to reading throughout the school year. We also identify students worthy of special recognition for academic exellence, and honor them with individual awards.

Resources

English and Science textbooks will be kept at home. Math and History textbooks will be carried to and from home and class as needed. Reading class uses a classroom set of basal readers, and these will remain in the classroom.
