Parent Information for STAAR Results

Student results from the 2011-2012 STAAR tests for grades 3-8 have been released by the state. Attached to student report cards will be the STAAR Confidential Student Report along with "A Guide for Parents - Understanding Your Child's Confidential Student Report (CSR)". At the bottom of the student CSR is information for the Student Portal Access which gives assessment information across test administrations and years.

Dates for Report Cards:
SSES and Douglas: February 27
SSMS: March 1
SSHS, 9th grade: March 1

STAAR Information

The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, or STAAR, replaced the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) program in the spring of 2012. The STAAR program at grades 3–8 assess the same grades and subjects that were assessed on TAKS. For high school, general subject-area TAKS tests have been replaced with twelve STAAR end-of-course (EOC) assessments.
