Statement of Team Goals and Objectives
The Cheetah Team goal is to help all sixth grade students reach their full potential. This is a transition period in their lives, and we want to do everything we can to provide guidance and leadership so the may have success in life and at Sulphur Springs Middle School.
Special Announcements/Projects
During the fall semester we are engaged in various special events to include our campus Science Fair and the Veterans Vigil at Texas A&M University - Commerce. We strongly encourage participation in U.I.L. academic contests and the Accelerated Reader (AR) program. We also identify students worth of special recognition for academic exellence, and honor them with individual awards.
Resources
English and History textbooks will be kept at home. Math and Science textbooks will be carried to and from home and class as needed. Reading class uses a classroom set of basal readers, and these will remain in the classroom.
Team Teacher Conferences
Teaming conference period is 12:30 - 1:20 p.m. If you would like to meet with the team teachers of your son / daughter. Please feel free to contact us anytime, and schedule a date to meet with us.
After School Tutoring / Homework Lab
An afternoon tutoring / homework lab is offered Monday through Thursday from 3:40 - 5:00 p.m. For additional information regarding this special service, please contact the main office at 903.885.7741.
