Sulphur Springs ISD Parents:  The 2017-2018 Head Start

and PreK Registration Roundup will be held Monday-Friday,

April 24-28, 2017, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., in the Parent

2017-2018 Kindergarten Registration Roundup will be

May 30-June 2, 2017, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., in the Parent Center.

ECLC  MEAL  PROGRAM

The Early Childhood Learning Center is participating in a Universal Lunch

and School Breakfast
Program for the current school year 2015-2016.

If your child attends the Early Childhood
Learning Center, breakfast and

lunch will be available to them daily at no charge. All students
enrolled

at this school may participate in the breakfast and lunch program. The

school menu
will follow U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for

healthy school meals. The School Breakfast
and Lunch Programs cannot

succeed without your support; please encourage your children to


participate. If you have any questions about the program please feel

free to contact us.

ECLC is TEXAS SCHOOL READY!

Texas School Ready! is a high quality early childhood model, that serves at-risk preschool-aged children through shared resources between public and private early childhood education programs. It is based upon proven school readiness components including:
  •Research-based, high quality, developmentally appropriate, and rigorous curriculum;
  •Continuous technology-driven student progress monitoring;
  •Professional development for teachers;
  •Ongoing teacher mentoring;
  •Sustainability; and
  •Creating and implementing a School Readiness Integration Partnership to coordinate services among school districts, child care providers, and Head Start programs.

The program is administered by the Children’s Learning Institute at the University of Texas Heath Science Center at Houston.
